Description:

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who has a strong foundation in general accounting and wants to contribute in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and hands-on experience supporting month-end close, reconciliations, and cost accounting activities. Responsibilities Participate in month-end close activities and support the full monthly accounting cycle Prepare journal entries and analyze financial variances Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting Support sales and use tax compliance and filings Assist with annual audit preparation and support external auditors Perform daily cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies Support cost accounting activities, including labor efficiency and overhead analysis Conduct expense and flux analysis for monthly financial performance reviews Help maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and finance teams Support additional accounting and finance projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required Minimum 3 years of accounting experience CPA preferred Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of GAAP principles Experience with account reconciliations, general ledger activity, and financial analysis Exposure to cost accounting and inventory processes preferred Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to learn new systems quickly Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Additional Information Fully onsite role in Worcester, MA Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship Background check required THC is not considered disqualifying This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to grow within a collaborative accounting team while gaining valuable experience in a manufacturing environment.
