Job Description

Timbrook Automotive, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. This position will provide support for the dealership's accounting operations, including vehicle deal processing, accounts payable and receivable, funding, reconciliations, deposits, and general accounting functions. Responsibilities Process and post vehicle sales and finance deals accurately and timely Review vehicle deal jackets and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy Assist with funding of vehicle deals and follow up on outstanding funding Post and reconcile vehicle inventory and related transactions Process accounts payable invoices and assist with vendor payments Process accounts receivable transactions and follow up on outstanding balances Prepare and post daily deposits Assist with bank and account reconciliations Maintain accurate records for vehicle inventory, receivables, payables, and other dealership accounts Assist with floorplan accounting and reconciliation Process and reconcile manufacturer statements and related accounting entries Assist with warranty receivables and manufacturer reimbursements Review and reconcile service, parts, and other dealership accounting transactions Assist with posting and reconciling manufacturer incentives, rebates, and other receivables Assist with month-end closing procedures and prepare supporting documentation Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and posting errors Maintain organized accounting records and files Communicate with dealership departments, manufacturers, lenders, vendors, and customers as needed Assist with audits and provide requested documentation Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information Follow dealership accounting procedures, internal controls, and company policies Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned Benefits Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications Full-time position with growth potential Health, dental, and vision insurance Voluntary benefits options Retirement savings plan with company match Paid time off and company holidays Employee discounts Supportive, team-oriented environment with strong leadership. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or office experience preferred Automotive dealership accounting experience is strongly preferred Knowledge of dealership accounting processes is a plus Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, or general ledger functions preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Ability to learn and utilize dealership accounting and DMS software Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team Professional, dependable, and positive attitude Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information Bilingual skills are a plus Join the Timbrook Automotive Team At Timbrook Automotive, our accounting team play an important role in keeping our dealerships running efficiently and accurately.
