Job Description

Job Summary Rule4 LLC is a privately held commercial and residential construction company with approximately $20 million in annual revenue. We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing team and support day-to-day accounting operations, project financial reporting, and job cost analysis across multiple projects. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and supporting the accurate preparation of financial statements. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial data, facilitate smooth month-end and year-end closings, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an energetic professional eager to grow their accounting skills within a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar systems. Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing financial reports and conducting account reconciliations. Assist with budgeting, variance analysis, and financial data analysis utilizing Excel data analysis techniques and spreadsheets. Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements to safeguard confidential information and maintain audit readiness. Handle data entry tasks efficiently while maintaining high levels of accuracy in all transactions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical accounting issues, including revenue recognition, depreciation, and other complex financial concepts. Experience Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field Strong computer and analytical skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Experience with construction accounting software preferred Experience with Sage 100 Contractor is a plus Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Our ideal candidate is energetic, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality work. Attention to detail, accountability, and follow-through are essential. Construction industry experience is preferred but not required. We welcome experienced candidates and are also willing to train individuals who demonstrate initiative, strong work ethic, organization, and a positive attitude.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
