Job Description
Responsibilities:
Record and review journal entries to keep the general ledger accurate and current. Complete monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other key financial records. Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities by preparing schedules and resolving outstanding items. Examine financial results, research variances, and address discrepancies in a timely manner. Provide support for accounts payable and accounts receivable processes when additional coverage is needed. Prepare audit support materials and organize documentation required for internal or external review. Maintain fixed asset activity, including depreciation tracking and related accounting records. Assist with financial and management reporting by compiling data and preparing supporting analysis. Follow established accounting policies and internal controls while working with cross-functional teams to support business goals. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. At least 5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience. Hands-on knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting practices. Experience participating in month-end and year-end close processes. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and analytical functions. Experience with Sage 300 is preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating in fast-paced environments.
