Compensation:

Up to $65,000 based on experience

Direct Hire or Temp-to-Hire Position Overview Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant with a strong Accounts Payable background to join its growing accounting team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys managing day-to-day AP responsibilities while also contributing to process improvements, system enhancements, and overall departmental efficiency. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical accounting function in an environment that values initiative, continuous improvement, and collaboration across departments. Key Responsibilities Manage the full-cycle Accounts Payable process, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment processing Coordinate weekly payment runs, ACH transactions, and vendor payments Maintain vendor relationships and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies Perform vendor account reconciliations and support cash requirements planning Administer vendor onboarding, W-9 collection, and compliance documentation Coordinate annual 1099 reporting and related tax documentation Manage and support expense management and invoice workflow systems Assist with job and equipment setup activities within the accounting system Support employee reimbursement and allowance programs Provide assistance with collection efforts and Accounts Receivable activities as needed Participate in system upgrades, automation initiatives, and process improvement projects Collaborate with operations, project teams, and management to ensure accurate financial information and workflow efficiency Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable experience Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred Strong Excel skills and overall computer proficiency Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Preferred Experience Accounting experience within a job-costing environment Construction, contracting, engineering, manufacturing, or related industry experience Experience with large ERP systems SAP Concur experience All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
