About the Company A growing, project-based services company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a lean, highly visible finance team. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with an experienced CFO in a true right-hand capacity within a two-person accounting team. About the Role This role offers broad exposure across the accounting function and is ideal for someone who enjoys owning both day-to-day accounting and more strategic finance support. The Staff Accountant will be involved in full-cycle accounting, including transactional work as well as project-focused financial responsibilities. This position is perfect for someone who wants to learn the business from the ground up, make an impact, and grow over time. Responsibilities Full-cycle accounting support from transaction processing through month-end close Accounts payable and accounts receivable Project billing, invoicing, and customer payment tracking Job costing and project-level financial analysis Bank and account reconciliations Assisting with cash management and daily cash visibility Supporting month-end and year-end processes Maintaining accurate financial records and improving accounting workflows Partnering closely with leadership on ad hoc reporting and operational needs Assisting with additional administrative and business-related functions as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 2+ years of accounting experience Experience with AP, AR, reconciliations, and general ledger activity Exposure to project billing, job costing, construction, contracting, or other project-based environments is a plus Self-starter comfortable working in a small team environment Strong attention to detail and willingness to take ownership Ability to adapt, prioritize, and wear multiple hats Required Skills Self-starter comfortable working in a small team environment, strong attention to detail, and willingness to take ownership.
