Type:

full-time Our client is seeking a Temporary Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and assist with month-end close activities. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who can quickly integrate into a team, maintain accuracy in financial reporting, and provide immediate support during periods of growth, transition, system implementation, leave coverage, or increased workload. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries. Perform account reconciliations, including bank and general ledger accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules. Assist with general ledger maintenance and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures. Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation activities. Participate in special projects, process improvements, and system-related initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 2+ years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles. Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables. Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar platforms preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience Month-end close support. Financial statement preparation. Audit support. Fixed assets and depreciation schedules. Variance analysis and reporting. Multi-entity or multi-location accounting environments.
