Staff Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and help maintain accurate financial records for the team in Odenton, Maryland. This position is well suited for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across core accounting tasks in a collaborative environment. The role will contribute to close activities, reporting, reconciliations, and issue resolution while also assisting with process improvement efforts.
Responsibilities:
  • Support monthly closing activities by preparing entries, organizing financial data, and helping ensure deadlines are met
  • Perform account reconciliations and review balances to confirm accuracy across the general ledger
  • Assist with accounts payable and other routine accounting operations to keep transactions processed correctly
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc financial reports for internal use and analysis
  • Investigate variances and accounting inconsistencies, then take appropriate steps to resolve outstanding issues
  • Contribute to accounting-related projects, including workflow improvements and automation initiatives
  • Help address data and reporting cleanup needs within ERP system
