Auburn Hills, MI Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our client's team on a contract basis, with the potential to transition into a full-time role for the right candidate. This individual will play a critical role in managing daily cash operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting intercompany accounting processes. Key Responsibilities Perform daily cash reconciliations , including coordination with centralized cash sweep activities Manage customer cash application , ensuring timely and accurate posting of payments Oversee divisional invoicing , maintaining accuracy and adherence to internal controls Conduct intercompany reconciliations , resolving discrepancies and ensuring proper balances across entities Collaborate with internal teams to support month-end close processes Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior-level role Strong experience with cash reconciliations , AR/cash application , and intercompany accounting High attention to detail and strong analytical skills Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (ERP experience preferred) Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications CPA or CPA-track preferred Experience in multi-entity or corporate accounting environments Prior experience in a contract or project-based role is a plus
