$60,000-$75,000 Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing organization in Battle Creek, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership, gain exposure to multiple areas of accounting and finance, and contribute to a company that continues to expand its operations.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Analyze financial data and investigate account variances Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities Assist with inventory accounting and manufacturing cost analysis Participate in audits and provide requested documentation Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls Collaborate with operations and other departments to support business objectives Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies

Staff Accountant Education & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills #
