Overview Position Overview
  • Part Time (32 hours) Flexible Work Schedule Work for a great organization that truly cares about its employees and makes a difference in the community.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant in our accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), cash and payroll functions within our accounting team. This role includes responsibility for account reconciliations, sub-ledger to general ledger reconciliations, the financial accuracy of assigned accounts and summarizing payroll information for third party payroll processing. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on accounting experience who is comfortable working with accounting software/systems, likes improving processes with the option to expand into broader accounting responsibilities over time. Pay:
Compensation is based on qualifications and experience, within the position's established pay range.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Bi-weekly AP process, including vendor account setup/maintenance in accounting system as well as online setup for invoice and auto-pay.
  • Monthly billing process including reconciling external system to accounts receivable sub-ledger.
  • Oversee AR balances, including tracking, application of cash receipts, and resolving variances.
  • Bi-weekly collection of payroll information summarizing for third-party processor, reviewing of payroll for accuracy, being the liaison between HR/Accounting and third-party processor.
  • Support audit requests related to payables, receivables, cash, and payroll activity Qualifications
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, with direct experience in: o Accounts payable & receivable o Cash receipts and cash management o Payroll processing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies independently
  • Ability to manage deadlines and take ownership of responsibilities Preferred Experience
  • Associates Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Experience working within accounting system
  • Experience supporting or participating in the full month-end close cycle
