Caledonia, MI Salary Range:

If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Caledonia that are seeking skilled Staff Accountants. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. By joining our network, you position yourself for opportunities aligned with your career goals. Key Responsibilities Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and inventory. Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close processes. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports. Analyze manufacturing costs and variances, providing insights to management. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely. Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation. Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) Experience with inventory costing and analysis Bonus Qualifications Experience with an ERP system beyond basic data entry (e.g., system configuration, report building). Exposure to cost accounting principles or inventory valuation methods (e.g., LIFO, FIFO, standard costing). Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for financial reporting. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives.
