Associate's degree Accounting Full Job Description Oakley Industries Sub Assembly Division, Inc. in an automotive supplier of wheel and tire assemblies with seven plants in the United States and Canada. Job Summary The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for reviewing and maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, and supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance. This position provides cross-trained backup coverage for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting functions. This position ensures accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies across multiple plants in the U.S. and Canada. Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work This is a regular, full-time, on-site position based in Flint, MI. This position generally works during the regular business day; however, occasional additional hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required to meet month-end close deadlines, audits, or other business needs. Education and Experience 1. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. 2. 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. 3. Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls. 4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet-based reporting; experience with SAP required.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
