Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Madison Heights, Michigan. This short-term contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to key financial operations and ensure smooth processes within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in month-end close activities, financial reporting, and supporting various accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Support month-end close procedures for multiple locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries.
• Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including cash applications and invoice management.
• Prepare and analyze rolling forecasts, accruals, and liabilities to support financial planning.
• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams by entering invoices and ensuring proper documentation.
• Provide analytical insights and assist in generating reports to support decision-making.
• Maintain inventory-related accounting and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to streamline financial tasks and reporting.
• Work with accounting software such as D365 and Dynamics AX to manage financial data effectively.
• Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed to enhance overall accounting operations.
