We are a CPA firm in Macomb County working with a wide range of clients—small businesses, growing companies, high-net-worth individuals, complex family groups, and multi-state operations. We handle the type of work often found at mid-sized and regional firms, but with a more personal, flexible environment. We are technical, service-focused, and relationship-driven. Staff gain broad exposure and develop quickly. We are seeking a Senior Tax & Accounting Professional who is ready to step into a role offering autonomy, advanced work, and long-term growth — with a clear path for meaningful career advancement. Job Responsibilities Include Tax & Advisory Prepare and review individual, business, trust, and multi-state returns Perform tax research and assist with planning Prepare required disclosures and stay current on tax law changes Accounting & Client Support Work in QuickBooks Desktop/Online and other systems Assist with month-end close and financial statements Improve client accounting processes and provide direct client support Complex / Specialized Work Potential exposure to accounting method changes (3115), foreign reporting, multi-state issues, audit support, and retirement plan strategy General Accounting Some hands-on accounting and light bookkeeping due to our non-siloed structure Technology We Use UltraTax CS Planner CS Fixed Assets CS Practice CS QuickBooks (QBO & Desktop) Microsoft Excel (heavy use) Microsoft 365 ADP for payroll (we do NOT process payroll) Who Thrives Here This role is ideal for someone who: Comes from a large regional firm or strong multi-partner local firm Wants meaningful client interaction and technical variety Values a collaborative, flexible environment Seeks long-term advancement Is confident, friendly, and committed to client service Compensation & Benefits $75,000+ base salary (flexible based on experience) Overtime pay (uncapped) Twice-annual bonuses Professional development and continuing education CPA licensing support Future advancement opportunities Minimum Requirements CPA license (Michigan) or actively working toward CPA licensure At least 2 years of experience at a CPA firm preferred Strong tax and accounting skills QuickBooks and Excel proficiency Excellent communication and service-oriented mindset
