Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a growing organization on the lakeshore in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This onsite role is ideal for an accounting specialist who brings strong core accounting knowledge and can support a fast-evolving business environment with accuracy and consistency. The position will play a key role in maintaining reliable financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Lead month-end close activities, ensuring financial records are completed accurately and on schedule. Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. Perform detailed account analysis to identify variances, resolve discrepancies, and support accurate reporting. Complete bank reconciliations and investigate outstanding items to keep cash records current. Assist with selected parts of the customer billing process to help maintain timely invoicing and cash flow. Review financial data across multiple accounts and provide support for ongoing accounting adjustments and reporting needs. Contribute to accounting operations during periods of organizational growth and process change, including work involving current financial software tools. Partner with internal team members to strengthen day-to-day accounting workflows and support overall close performance. Requirements Demonstrated experience managing month-end close responsibilities in a corporate or manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Proven ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and follow through on reconciling items. Solid Microsoft Excel skills for analysis, reporting, and financial data review. Experience performing account analysis and identifying issues that affect financial accuracy.
