Job Description
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review accounting records and do tax accounting work for small and mid-sized business clients across multiple industries. Complete write-up work and maintain accurate books to support timely financial reporting. Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet activity to ensure the integrity of client financial data. Record journal entries, maintain general ledger activity, and assist with month-end close processes. Create financial statements and explain results to clients in a clear, practical manner. Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, responding to questions and supporting ongoing accounting needs. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed for client engagements. Use QuickBooks and other accounting applications effectively while adapting to new tools and platforms as needed. Requirements At least 3 years of experience providing accounting support and tax accounting work for multiple business clients, preferably in a public accounting or client advisory setting. Proficiency with QuickBooks is required. Working knowledge of core accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close. Experience preparing financial statements and discussing financial results with clients. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred. Comfortable learning new technology quickly; experience with platforms such as Xero, NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP is helpful. Ability to work independently in a dedicated home office setting while managing client deadlines effectively.
