Walker, MI Salary Range:

If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Walker that are seeking skilled Staff Accountants. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and various balance sheet accounts. Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper coding. Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including preparing supporting schedules. Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments. Maintain fixed asset records, including depreciation calculations and tracking. Support inventory management through cycle counts and variance analysis. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably within a manufacturing environment Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles Experience with inventory accounting and reconciliations Bonus Qualifications Experience with an ERP system like SAP or Oracle Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles CMA or CPA certification Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query and Power Pivot Experience with inventory costing and analysis Job Titles That Should Apply Staff Accountant, Accountant, Junior Accountant, General Ledger Accountant, Financial Accountant, Cost Accountant, Inventory Accountant, Accounting Specialist, Bookkeeper, Assistant Controller Why The Pivot Group Network The Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
