Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks with precision. This position will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and summit payroll taxes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and records, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions. Fraud Alerts Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and budgets. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Analyze financial data and provide insights on financial performance, trends, and forecasts to VP of Sales. Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits and assist in the preparation of necessary documents. Process payroll and ensure accuracy in payroll-related tax filings and deductions. Monitor financial transactions and ensure timely payment of invoices and collections. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of fixed assets and inventory. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely submission of all tax-related documents. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred). Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with payroll processing and tax filings. Knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting techniques. Experience in preparing financial statements for management review.
