Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure financial transactions are recorded completely and accurately.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Support corporate tax activities, including gathering documentation and assisting with tax return preparation.
- Manage sales tax processes by reviewing transactions, calculating obligations, and helping ensure timely filings.
- Assist with month-end and period-close tasks by validating balances and preparing supporting schedules.
- Review financial data for accuracy and compliance with internal accounting standards and applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain required financial information and clarify accounting treatment when needed.
- Help document accounting procedures and support process updates related to financial reporting or tax workflows. Requirements
- Experience in staff accounting or a similar accounting role with hands-on responsibility for daily financial operations.
- Working knowledge of corporate tax, including exposure to corporate tax return support activities.
- Experience handling sales tax calculations, reporting, or filing support.
- Proficiency in preparing journal entries and maintaining accurate accounting records.
- Strong understanding of general ledger structure, reconciliations, and account analysis.
- Ability to work with a high level of accuracy, prioritize deadlines, and manage multiple assignments effectively.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams.
