Position Summary:
The AR Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and will manage the recording of all revenue, bad debt, customer relations adjustments, as well as posting of payments to customer accounts. A key focus will be on driving the improvement of processes that will provide efficiencies and accurate reporting on the general ledger, which will also help ensure that we can efficiently fold in new businesses into our processes as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Record Revenue:
Record revenue, at the job level, from CRM into NetSuite.
Post Payments:
Record payments made by customers to clear customer balances. Post payments into bank accounts to ensure seamless reconciliation of bank accounts. Record Adjustments to
Revenue:
Record change orders, customer relation adjustments, and write off bad debt in NetSuite. Reconcile CRM to
Ledger:
Run reports from sub-ledger (CRM) to tie booked revenue for each branch to ensure proper recording of booked revenue.
Process Improvement:
Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements to streamline operations, reduce errors, and improve efficiency. Contribute ideas to innovate workflows and reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Assist other members of the accounting and finance teams as needed and contribute to overall departmental goals and initiatives.
Compliance & Controls:
Ensure transactions are in compliance with GAAP, company policies, and relevant financial regulations. Implement relevant new accounting standards and review processes for appropriate internal controls.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience and comfortability with learning different accounting software is preferred (experience with NetSuite is a plus). Experience with data management, report generation, and financial dashboards. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AR systems. Comfort working in a digital environment with cloud-based tools and platforms. Understanding of database principles and data integrity best practices.
