Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee financial reporting, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support our financial operations with precision and integrity. What You'll Do Perform and oversee general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close responsibilities Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting Assist in getting our internal control environment designed, documented and tested Analyze financial information, account activity, and variances to identify trends or issues Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other accounting functions as needed Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Help maintain and improve accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls Partner with leadership and other departments to research and resolve accounting-related questions Take ownership of assigned projects and accounting responsibilities from start to finish What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 3+ years of professional accounting experience preferred Corporate or private-industry accounting experience strongly preferred CPA or CPA-track experience is preferred but not required Strong understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close Strong Microsoft Excel skills Ability to analyze financial information and investigate discrepancies Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team What Will Make Someone Successful Here The right person for this position won't just complete a checklist of accounting tasks.
