09/01/2026 About the role Restoration Network is a fire, water, and storm restoration company scaling our Mitigation and Reconstruction divisions. As our Staff Accountant, you'll own the day-to-day accuracy of our books and turn financial data into the reporting that drives decisions at the leadership level. This is a project-based, job-costed business. Every dollar ties back to a specific loss, claim, and completion. So precision at the transaction level directly protects our margins. You'll work closely with Operations, Construction, and leadership to keep our financial engine running clean as we grow.
Compensation:
$62,500 - $72,500 yearly
Responsibilities:
Own accounts payable and accounts receivable, including progress billing, insurance-claim invoicing, deductibles, and supplements Perform job costing and maintain work-in-progress (WIP) schedules so each project's true margin is visible in real time Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts monthly to guarantee accuracy across both divisions Support the monthly close and produce division-level P&L and gross-margin reporting for leadership Reconcile estimating and production data (Xactimate, PSA) against the general ledger to catch leakage before it hits the P&L Prepare and share financial reports with leadership to enable informed, timely decision-making Maintain compliance with financial regulations, insurance-industry requirements, and internal controls Identify and implement process improvements that make our accounting cleaner, faster, and more scalable
Qualifications:
3+ years of accounting experience; construction, restoration, or other project-based/job-costed industry strongly preferred Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (or comparable GL software); experience with construction PSA platforms and/or Xactimate is a plus Working knowledge of job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion concepts Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent hands-on experience Meticulous, organized, and self-directed; you catch the $200 miscode before it becomes a $20,000 problem Comfortable in a fast-moving, growth-stage company where processes are still being built How to apply We read every application, and we want to know you read the ad.
