Senior AccountantManufacturing Company - East MetroSUMMARY

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company in the East Metro, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of key accounting functions, financial reporting processes, and business-critical analysis.

This position is responsible for supporting the month-end and year-end close, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reporting, assisting with audits, and partnering with various areas of the business to provide financial insight and support. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, identifying and resolving issues, and improving accounting processes and controls.

This is a hands-on Senior Accountant opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who can step into the role and contribute with limited day-to-day supervision.
DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIESLead and support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reportingPrepare and analyze financial statements, reporting schedules, and supporting analysesPrepare and review journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and general ledger activityManage assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts and related reconciliationsSupport fixed asset accounting, inventory accounting, and related analysisAssist with cash flow reporting and analysisAnalyze financial and operational results and provide meaningful insights to leadershipAssist with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and management reportingIdentify and resolve accounting discrepancies, system issues, and process inefficienciesMaintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, including account coding and classificationsPartner with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance, analysis, and supportIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve reportingSupport tax compliance, regulatory filings, and other required reportingResearch and apply accounting guidance to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policiesCoordinate and support internal and external audit activitiesPrepare audit schedules and supporting documentation and respond to auditor requestsParticipate in ERP projects, system enhancements, testing, and implementations as a finance resourceProvide guidance and mentorship to other members of the accounting/finance teamMaintain documentation, standard procedures, and internal controls for assigned accounting processesAssist with special projects and other accounting-related initiatives as needed
