Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Chesterfield, Missouri. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to vital accounting operations and financial management activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in month-end processes, reconciliations, and general ledger management, while also assisting with audits and year-end close procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support entry-level accounting staff, providing guidance and oversight for their tasks.
• Manage accounts receivable activities, including collections, returns, and late fee setup.
• Perform detailed accounts receivable analysis and distribute account statements.
• Review personal property declarations and ensure their accuracy before submission.
• Reconcile bank accounts and assist in forecasting cash flow needs.
• Post and review general ledger batches, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze sales tax reports prepared by entry-level accountants and make necessary adjustments.
• Execute month-end close processes, including depreciation, inventory reconciliation, and financial account variance analysis.
• Conduct year-end close activities, including preparation of audit and tax reports.
• Maintain depreciation schedules for non-leased assets and oversee outgoing payment approvals.
