Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - Revenue Accounting to support revenue accounting, financial analysis, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, hands-on experience with revenue accounting and journal entries, and the ability to investigate and explain financial variances.

This role requires someone who can analyze financial and operational data, identify the root causes of revenue fluctuations, and work across multiple data sources to understand their impact on financial results.

Key Responsibilities Support revenue and subsidiary accounting activities. Perform trade revenue accounting and related financial analysis. Support captive lending revenue accounting. Account for and analyze smaller revenue streams. Process and record cash receipts. Prepare and post journal entries. Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies. Perform daily, weekly, and month-end accounting activities. Conduct variance analysis and prepare financial reporting. Research, investigate, and explain revenue and account variances. Consolidate information from multiple sources to understand revenue impacts. Analyze business activity, market conditions, pricing, and interest-rate changes that may impact revenue. Identify root causes of financial fluctuations and communicate findings to stakeholders. Support month-end close and general accounting processes. Identify opportunities for process improvements to streamline and strengthen accounting cycles. Ensure accounting activities are accurate, timely, and properly documented. Ability to investigate financial variances and determine root causes. Experience analyzing source data and financial reports. Ability to identify trends and explain changes in financial results. Ability to connect business events, market conditions, pricing, interest rates, and operational changes to revenue fluctuations. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to consolidate and analyze information from multiple data sources. Technical SkillsExcelIntermediate Excel skills required, including: Pivot Tables

Excel formulas Data analysis and manipulation Power Query & SQL Ability to work with pre-built Power Query processes and SQL queries. Ability to retrieve, review, and analyze data using existing queries. No requirement to create SQL queries or build data models.
Education & ExperienceRequired:
Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of Finance/Accounting experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of Finance/Accounting experience. Preferred BackgroundCandidates with experience in the following areas are strongly preferred: Revenue Accounting Financial Accounting General Ledger Accounting Financial Analysis Revenue Analysis Financial Reporting Corporate Accounting Banking or Financial Services Lending or Trade-related financial environments Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a senior-level accounting/financial professional who combines strong accounting fundamentals with financial analysis skills. They should be comfortable preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, supporting month-end close, analyzing revenue, and explaining financial variances using data from multiple sources.
Pay:
$50.00 - $60.00 per hour
