Position Summary The Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our financial operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, looks for ways to improve processes, and wants to grow beyond transactional accounting. Working closely with the Controller and finance team, you will support core accounting functions while gaining hands-on experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting, and process improvement. As you grow in the role, you'll have the opportunity to take on increased responsibility and expand your involvement in financial analysis and other higher-level accounting functions. What You'll Do Prepare and post journal entries, maintain general ledger accuracy, and support month-end close activities. Prepare and maintain schedules for accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, rebates, cash flow, and budgeting. Complete bank reconciliations, support cash applications, and assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. Administer credit card and expense management in Rippling, including transaction review and reconciliation. Maintain vendor records, compliance documentation, and company vehicle maintenance records. Support internal controls and accounting policies while working across departments to ensure timely and accurate financial information. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies. Contribute to financial analysis, special projects, and other accounting initiatives as needed. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-3 years of accounting experience; relevant internship experience is welcome. Working knowledge of GAAP and foundational accounting principles. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial data and account reconciliations. Experience with accounting or financial software systems and the ability to learn new technology quickly. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. A curious and accountable approach to your work, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
