This role will oversee critical close activities, maintain the accuracy of financial records, and help ensure timely reporting across key accounts. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage reconciliations and journal activity with precision.
Responsibilities:
Lead monthly close activities by preparing schedules, reviewing account activity, and helping ensure financial deadlines are met. Maintain the general ledger by recording, reviewing, and validating financial transactions for accuracy and completeness. Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate support and alignment to accounting standards and internal controls. Perform account reconciliations on a recurring basis, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Complete bank reconciliations by comparing statements to internal records and researching outstanding items. Analyze financial data across balance sheet and income statement accounts to identify unusual trends or posting errors. Support audit readiness by organizing documentation and maintaining clear records for reconciliations and entry support. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3-6+ years of corporate general ledger accounting experience Healthcare accounting experience strongly preferred Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation Multi-location accounting experience is a plus Strong Microsoft Excel skills CPA or MBA preferred Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Collaborative, easy-going personality with a desire to grow long-term with the organization Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
