About Us Albertson & Jones, P.A. is a growing tax and accounting firm in Beulaville, NC. We work closely with a diverse client base to keep their books accurate and their financials ready for decision-making — and tax time. Job Summary We're looking for a detail-oriented, client-facing bookkeeper/accountant to manage day-to-day bank feed processing, reconciliations, payroll questions, and financial statement preparation for our clients. This is a production-focused role best suited to someone who takes pride in accuracy and consistency, enjoys the detail work of getting the numbers right, and is comfortable being the go-to person for client questions. Prior firm experience across multiple client accounts is a strong plus. Responsibilities Process and categorize daily bank feed transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly Serve as a point of contact for client payroll questions and troubleshoot common issues Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Support tax preparation work as needed (a plus, not required) Communicate directly with clients to gather information and resolve discrepancies Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping/accounting experience, ideally supporting multiple client accounts at a firm Proficiency in both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online Working knowledge of payroll processes and common payroll issues Demonstrated experience independently preparing financial statements Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, not required Tax preparation experience a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable communicating directly with clients, including explaining accounting concepts to non-accountants
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 33.5 - 40.0 per week
