Joyce and Company is a full-service public accounting firm offering services ranging from individual tax accounting to financial statement audits and reviews. The successful candidate will deliver top-notch accounting, auditing and tax related services to small businesses and their owners as well as assist clients in making sound financial decisions based on understanding their goals, values and opportunities. We prefer candidates that possess 3+ years of experience in accounting/auditing and tax, strong computer and analytical skills and excellent communication skills and will be working toward their CPA certification (if not already obtained). The individual will prepare individual and corporate income tax returns, perform financial audit and review engagements and provide various accounting and tax services to our clients.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing and reviewing income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, non-profit organizations and trusts. Performing financial statement audits, reviews, compilations and bookkeeping services for a variety of small for-profit businesses, municipalities and non-profit organizations. Preparing and reviewing financial statements and related disclosures. Researching tax and GAAP issues and applying to client situations. Resolving client questions and effectively communicating solutions in a timely manner.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and minimum hours needed to sit for the CPA exam (if CPA license not already obtained) Ability to transition among various assignments with ease Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Proficiency withQuickbooks, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Job Type:
