Type:
full-time Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing corporate accounting team. This position will support the month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger activities while working closely with various departments across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and experience working in a structured corporate environment. Key Responsibilities Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries. Assist with preparation of financial statements and management reporting. Perform account analysis and investigate variances and unusual transactions. Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions. Assist with quarterly and annual audit requests and provide supporting documentation. Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies and controls. Assist with SOX controls, documentation, and testing. Partner with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, FP&A, and other departments to resolve accounting issues. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably within a corporate or public-company environment. Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting. Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close. Advanced Excel skills; experience with an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Experience with
SOX, SEC
reporting, or a public accounting background is a plus, but not required.
