About the Position We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable managing a high volume of invoices and financial transactions. Experience in the construction industry is a strong plus , particularly experience working with construction vendors, subcontractors, purchase orders, job costing, or construction accounting. Responsibilities Process and accurately code vendor invoices and bills Match invoices with purchase orders, receipts, and supporting documentation Verify invoice accuracy and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal staff Prepare and process vendor payments in a timely manner Maintain accurate vendor records and W-9 documentation Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable records Assist with month-end and year-end financial records Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account questions Maintain organized and accurate accounting files Assist with other accounting and administrative duties, as needed Qualifications 2+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while also being a team player High level of accuracy and confidentiality Preferred Qualifications Construction accounting experience Experience working with subcontractors and construction vendors Familiarity with purchase orders, job costing, lien waivers, or construction-related invoices, and sales tax reports Experience with Viewpoint Experience in a construction, contracting, or related industry What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance policies Company-paid life insurance policy Paid sick/vacation days Paid holidays The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who takes pride in getting the details right, follows through on responsibilities, and can become a dependable part of our accounting team.
