Job Description:
Our client, a well-established, approximately $500M organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing accounting team. This is a highly visible role that will work closely with accounting leadership and have responsibility for key areas of the monthly close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. The Senior Accountant will interact with multiple areas of the business, assist with more complex accounting matters, and help identify opportunities to improve processes and controls. Key Responsibilities Own key components of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process. Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Analyze general ledger activity and research and resolve discrepancies. Perform balance sheet and P&L analysis, including investigating and explaining significant fluctuations. Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting. Support accounting for areas such as leases, fixed assets, accruals, prepaid expenses, intercompany activity, and other key accounts. Ensure accounting activity is recorded accurately and in accordance with
U.S. GAAP.
Partner with FP&A and other areas of the business to understand financial activity and ensure appropriate accounting treatment. Assist with the annual external audit, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation and responding to auditor requests. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Approximately 3+ years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles. Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis. Experience working within a larger ERP software
