Job Description

Position Summary Our club is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Associate to join our administrative team. This position plays an important role in the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, supporting payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and member billing. We are looking for someone who is organized, eager to learn, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop a broad accounting skillset while working closely with an experienced accounting team. Responsibilities Payroll & Employee Administration Process weekly payroll, including employee onboarding and tip distributions. Maintain employee information and benefit elections within the payroll system. Process payroll-related journal entries, including payroll transfers and 401(k) contributions. Accounts Payable Review, code, and process vendor invoices. Process electronic payments, ACH transactions, and manual checks. Manage recurring and auto-draft vendor payments. Review and reconcile monthly vendor statements. Accounts Receivable Process customer and member payments. Record credit card transactions and bank deposits. Assist with customer account inquiries and statement reconciliations. Accounting & Financial Reporting Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation. Perform monthly bank reconciliations. Prepare monthly cash balance and sales reports. Process monthly Sales & Use Tax filings. Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting. Member & Owner Services Prepare and distribute monthly Water & Sewer owner statements. Prepare and distribute monthly Golf Club member statements. Additional Responsibilities Manage employee credit card administration. Assist with special accounting projects as assigned. Support multiple departments with accounting-related needs. Qualifications Required Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Ability to quickly learn new accounting software and business systems. Preferred Experience with payroll processing. Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience. General ledger and bank reconciliation experience. Experience supporting multiple departments or business entities. Experience communicating with members, customers, or property owners.
