full-time Job description: Job Overview The Junior Accountant is responsible for supporting a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries. This position is expected to supply accurate financial data to the Management Team to ensure business effectiveness. Duties

• Have full functional understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
• Contributes to monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting closing activities
• Reconcile bank statements
• Reconcile general ledger accounts
• Create and enter journal entries as assigned
• Escalate general ledger account discrepancies as they arise to ensure consistency for financial reporting
• Contributes to daily accounting activities within AR and AP as assigned
• Escalate AR and AP discrepancies as they arise to ensure consistent alignment with both customers and suppliers
• Provide transaction backup documentation for audit activities as assigned
• Ad hoc reporting and other duties as assigned Requirements
• Associates Degree or equivalent education and experience
• One to three years related experience preferred
• Hands-on experience working with general ledgers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Proficient with ERP and Microsoft Office systems
• Able to organize and prioritize work effectively
• Follow through to ensure work is complete and delivered in a timely manner
