The Cost Accountant reports to the Operations Controller and is responsible for providing Cost Accounting and Financial Support for activities related to all Conn Selmer manufacturing and distribution facilities; includes cost maintenance, cycle count analysis, production order variance reviews, and month-end journal entries. Assist with other monthly, quarterly and or annual accounting tasks as assigned by finance. Responsibilities Month End Journal Entries and Accruals for Manufacturing/Distribution Facilities Periodic Metrics and KPIs related to plant performance Cost rolls for new purchased products and existing products. (Including Annual Standard Revaluation) Accuracy of all Costs- Raw, WIP and FG Assist with BOM and Routing updates as needed for manufactured and imported product.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in accounting is preferred or equivalent experience Two years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Proficient knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Tools MAPICS/Infor/AS400 and/or Dynamics 365 experience, though not required, is a plus Analytical Skills- Ability to understand, analyze and communicate complex information to recipients with various levels of understanding Problem Solving Skills
