The Finance Intern will support the Finance team with day-to-day accounting and financial activities while gaining hands-on experience in a professional setting. This role will assist with financial reporting, account reconciliations, month-end close, and other Finance projects, giving the intern exposure to a variety of areas across the department.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Month-End Closing:
Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and gathering supporting documentation.General Accounting:
Assist with general accounting activities and maintaining accurate financial records.Fixed Assets:
Assist with maintaining fixed asset records and supporting related accounting activities.Financial Reporting:
Support the preparation of financial reports, schedules, and analysis.Audit Support:
Assist with gathering documentation and information for internal and external audits.Continuous Improvement:
Support Finance projects and assist with identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting.Collaboration:
Work closely with the Finance team and other departments to support daily financial activities and projects. Perform other Finance-related duties as assigned.JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Skills and Knowledge Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Basic knowledge of accounting and finance principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas). Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team environment. Strong communication and organizational skills. Prior accounting or finance experience is a plus, but not required. Work Conditions Generally, a standard office environment. Sitting required approximately 90% of the time. Repetitive hand motion. Long periods of sitting and working on a personal computer. Ability to concentrate on detail 95% of the time.BENEFITS
