Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly close cycle by preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and ensuring the general ledger is accurate and complete.
- Oversee transactional and corporate accounting activities across multiple entities, maintaining consistency in reporting and accounting practices.
- Perform detailed account and bank reconciliations, researching discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Support annual audit preparation by organizing schedules, supplying documentation, and working closely with external auditors.
- Analyze financial results and key operating trends to help leadership understand performance and support decision-making.
- Monitor cost-related accounting, including cost of goods sold, to improve accuracy in financial reporting and margin analysis.
- Maintain and optimize accounting records within NetSuite, ensuring data integrity and efficient reporting processes.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen accounting workflows, improve controls, and support the continued growth of the finance function. Requirements
- At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for month-end close and general ledger activity.
- Strong knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliation processes.
- Experience handling corporate accounting responsibilities and preparing accurate financial reports.
- Ability to support annual audits and work effectively with external auditors and internal business partners.
- Demonstrated skill in financial analysis, including reviewing trends, variances, and operating performance.
- Familiarity with cost accounting concepts, including cost of goods sold and related reporting impacts.
- Hands-on experience using NetSuite or a similar ERP system in a detail-oriented accounting environment.
