This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting or finance professional who enjoys working with numbers, researching payment activity, and keeping reconciliations accurate and organized. In this role, you'll support bank and account reconciliations, journal entries, payment research and posting, audit documentation, and other treasury and accounting activities. •Fargo, North Dakota Responsibilities of the

Junior Staff Accountant:

Prepare daily and monthly journal entries, including payment corrections, bank returned items, split payments, and reclassification transactions. Maintain and reconcile bank, balance sheet, and other accounting accounts, ensuring accuracy and appropriate supporting documentation. Monitor payment activity and post bank transactions accurately and on a timely basis. Research and identify payments and coordinate posting to applicable accounts receivable systems. Gather, validate, analyze, and summarize accounting or statistical data. Support account, bank, and report reconciliations and help identify opportunities to improve reconciliation efficiency. Prepare documentation requested by internal and external auditors. Develop and maintain desktop procedures and other process documentation. Cross-train on team responsibilities to provide back-up support as needed. Participate in system testing and other accounting or treasury-related projects as assigned. Qualifications of the

Junior Staff Accountant:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Entry-level to early-career accounting, finance, treasury, accounts receivable, cash applications, or reconciliation experience is welcomed. Experience with bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, journal entries, payment posting, cash applications, or similar accounting functions is preferred. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to support reconciliations and improve spreadsheet efficiency. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make sound judgments based on available information. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial data and payment activity. Ability to organize and prioritize work independently while meeting deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at different levels. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and cross-train across multiple functions. Comfort learning and working within accounting, banking, or enterprise software systems. Flexibility to support periods of heavier workload when needed. Remote workers must have a supported internet connection through cable modem, DSL, or fiber and be able to connect directly to their router/modem if required.
