SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES
The Associate General Accountant is responsible for assisting the General Accountants by performing the daily auditing and accounting of the Quik Mart, Lodge, F&B, Guest Services, and Gift Shop as requested; to assure that all revenue and expenses have been accurately reported, all assets have been properly accounted for, and that all paperwork is prepared in accordance with the internal control procedures of the Enterprise. The Associate General Accountant is also responsible for assisting the Purchasing Agent by creating purchase orders based upon approved purchase requisitions; placing orders to the vendors; forwarding a copy of purchase order to Receiving; matching and verifying the packing slip to the purchase order; inputting receiving information and subsequent changes into the purchasing system; printing final purchase order; verifying PO information with the invoice; scheduling the invoice for payment to assure timely payment and obtaining discounts, and filing invoices and purchasing documents. The position is required to present a slide presentation to new employees at orientation with instructions regarding the ADP cards and direct deposits. Additional responsibilities include filing of pending/paid invoices; monthly office supply allocation; dispersing ADP cards; asset inventories; and assisting with maintaining the A/P vendor files and processing of credit card transactions. Knowledge of the accounting software (MAS 500) is required to extract and enter data. The position will be responsible for other responsibilities and projects as required by the
CFO. PREREQUISITES
General:
Must be age 21 or older. Must qualify for a Tribal Key Gaming License.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required. Requires a two year Associates Degree in accounting, business administration or data processing. Must be able to communicate in the primary language of the workplace.
Experience:
Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, etc.), 10 key by touch and data entry skills. Speed and accuracy required.
Physical:
Visual acuity; finger dexterity; repetitive motions; position requires sitting for long periods; reaching, bending and lifting 40 pounds.
