The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting and a desire to help small business clients maintain accurate financial records, improve accounting processes, and gain meaningful insights from their financial information. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop technical accounting expertise while working alongside experienced advisors and building trusted client relationships.
Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities for multiple client engagements. Utilize QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online) and other accounting software to support client recordkeeping and financial reporting needs. Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and research discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist with daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting duties for a variety of clients. Maintain fixed asset records and prepare related journal entries and reconciliations. Prepare account reconciliations and support month-end and year-end closing processes. Generate financial statements and management reports for review by senior team members and clients. Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow tracking, and other financial analysis projects. Assist clients with software and process improvements that enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred, but not required. 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements. Experience with QuickBooks Online, or similar accounting software preferred. Capable in using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Public accounting, outsourced accounting, bookkeeping, or CAS experience preferred, but not required.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00
  • 5:00 Busy season (January
  • April) hours could be up to 50 hours/week, including Saturday Summer season
  • 36 hours/week, Friday afternoons off at noon
