Role:
Regional West Health Services is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. Under the general direction of the Controller, this role is responsible for general ledger activities, financial statement preparation, audits, and reporting for assigned corporate entities. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the organizations financial integrity.QualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting or a related field required (or equivalent experience)Healthcare financial experience strongly preferred, but not requiredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) designation strongly preferred, but not required
Responsibilities:
Complete month-end general ledger close and related account reconciliations for assigned corporate entitiesPrepare monthly financial statements and accompanying narrativesPrepare tax returns (Form 990s) and other required regulatory filingsDevelop year-end workpapers and analyses in preparation for independent auditsIdentify internal audit opportunities and, when approved, conduct audits and report findings to leadershipPerform Accounts Payable functions or supervise AP staff as neededPrepare ad hoc financial analyses for Finance leadership and Medical Center managementAssist in developing financial services relationships with Panhandle Network HospitalsActively participate in Finance department meetingsBuild strong working relationships across Finance and other departments to support timely and accurate financial reportingParticipate in professional and Medical Center-related activities as appropriateA conditional job offer is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug test and background checks.
