Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Receivable and collections, including customer follow-ups, statements, aging, and payment commitments. Process customer billing, invoices, payments, credits, and account reconciliations. Research and resolve payment discrepancies, past-due balances, and account issues. Monitor customer credit limits and escalate collection concerns when needed. Assist with AP, month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and other accounting activities. Analyze order margins, product costs, discounts, freight, rebates, and incentives. Assist with manufacturer rebate, promotion, and incentive programs and follow up on reimbursements. Review and audit freight and shipping invoices for accuracy. Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting. Work closely with Accounting, Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to resolve issues. Proactively identify discrepancies and potential problems and escalate them to the Controller. Support the Accounting department with additional projects as needed. ⸻ What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. 2+ years of accounting, Accounts Receivable, or collections experience preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP. Strong Excel skills and experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP/accounting system preferred. Excellent communication skills and comfortable working directly with customers regarding payments. Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented. Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership and follows issues through to resolution. Process-improvement mindset and willingness to learn.
