This role is responsible for accounts payable activities, general accounting functions, account reconciliations, month-end close support, financial reporting, and intercompany transactions. The Staff Accountant will work closely with internal departments, international affiliates, and Headquarters in Korea to ensure accurate financial records, timely payments, and compliance with company policies and accounting procedures. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, multinational business environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (General Accounting & Accounts Payable) Process and review vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and payment requests. Ensure proper general ledger coding and supporting documentation. Maintain vendor records, including vendor onboarding documentation and banking information. Prepare and process approved payments in accordance with company policies and approval procedures. Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries. Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with timely payment processing. Support corporate credit card administration and employee reimbursement activities. Account Reconciliations & Financial Reporting Reconcile vendor statements, bank activity, and assigned general ledger accounts. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities. Prepare journal entries, accruals, and accounting schedules as assigned. Support preparation of financial reports and accounting analyses. Assist with cash flow reporting and accounts payable forecasting. Maintain organized and audit-ready accounting records and documentation. Intercompany & Headquarters Support Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions with affiliates in Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. Coordinate with Headquarters in Korea regarding payments, reporting requirements, and closing schedules. Support recurring reporting requests and accounting projects across multiple entities. Compliance & Process Improvement Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls. Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation. Assist with tax reporting requirements, including 1099 administration. Participate in ERP enhancements, process improvement initiatives, and special projects. Qualifications Education Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Experience 1-3 years of accounting, accounts payable, or general ledger accounting experience. Experience working in a corporate accounting environment. Experience with ERP systems required;
SAP S/4HANA
experience is a plus. Experience with account reconciliations, assisting with month-end close, and financial reporting support. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and lookup functions. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in both Korean and English (written and verbal) preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with Headquarters in Korea and cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Why Join Ray America? Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
