We are more interested in finding someone with a strong foundation, the ability to learn, and the desire to grow. Why Haber & Guenther? We are not looking for someone to spend the next ten years doing exactly the same job. Our firm has grown by developing long-term relationships with individuals and business owners and helping our clients with much more than simply filing tax returns. As our firm continues to grow, we want our employees to grow with it. For employees interested in advancing their tax careers, we offer a path toward becoming an Enrolled Agent (EA) . The firm is willing to sponsor qualified employees pursuing the credential, including the cost of approved exam-preparation materials and examination fees. Becoming an EA can be part of a broader development path within our firm toward tax review, tax planning, client consultations, tax resolution, and greater responsibility for client relationships. For someone who wants greater responsibility, exposure to more complex work, direct interaction with business owners, and the opportunity to develop into a senior-level accountant and advisor, there is significant room to advance here. We also believe employees perform their best when they are treated well, compensated fairly, and given the opportunity to build a career rather than simply fill a position. Compensation & Benefits $60,000-$80,000 annual salary , based on experience and ability Performance-based bonus opportunities Retirement benefits Health insurance reimbursements Paid time off Paid holidays Firm-sponsored Enrolled Agent (EA) exam preparation and examination fees for qualified employees pursuing the credential Professional development and continuing education opportunities Significant opportunity for advancement as the firm continues to grow Schedule This is a full-time, year-round position based in our Hackettstown, NJ office. Our workload naturally increases during tax season, but we are looking for someone interested in becoming a long-term member of our team rather than filling a seasonal tax-preparation position. The Person We're Hoping to Find You may already be a very good tax preparer but feel that you've reached a ceiling in your current position. Maybe you're capable of working directly with clients but haven't been given the opportunity. Maybe you'd like to learn tax planning, advisory, review, or tax resolution but your current role keeps you focused primarily on production. Maybe you've thought about becoming an Enrolled Agent , but haven't yet had an employer willing to invest in helping you get there. Or maybe you're simply looking for a smaller, growing firm where your work matters and there is room to take on substantially more responsibility over time. If that sounds familiar, we'd like to talk to you.Pay:
