Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the financial processing of transactions for the Company. Duties include processing accounts payable/accounts receivable, inputting approved vendor invoices into accounting systems, accurate record keeping and reporting requirements.

Controller Responsibilities:

The accounts payable and receivable specialist is responsible for checking figures and creating spreadsheets in addition to: Pay invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment. Obtain revenue by verifying transaction information, computing charges, and refunds, and preparing and sending invoices. Collect revenue by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments. Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Maintain accounting ledgers by posting account transactions. Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions. Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments and adjustments. Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls. Secure financial information by completing database backups. Maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Software industry knowledge a plus GL analysis forecasting and reporting

Required Skills/Abilities:

High degree of accuracy Great attention to detail Strong customer service skills Excellent negotiation skills Proficiency in mathematics Work with public companies a plus Can meet deadlines Software project accounting a plus Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Experience with Sage Intact a plus. 2-4+ years' experience.
