Job DescriptionSenior Tax AccountantWe are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join a growing accounting team in Neptune, New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable tax professional who enjoys working directly with clients and wants to be an important part of a collaborative, client-focused environment.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review complex individual, partnership, S corporation, C corporation, trust, and nonprofit tax returnsReview financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracyConduct tax research and assist with tax-planning strategiesIdentify tax-saving opportunities and communicate recommendations to clientsRespond to IRS and state tax noticesManage multiple client assignments and deadlines during tax seasonCommunicate professionally with clients regarding tax questions and missing informationProvide guidance and support to junior accountants and administrative team membersMaintain accurate client records and workpapersQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 3-5 years of recent public accounting tax experienceStrong experience preparing individual and business tax returnsCPA or EA designation preferred; CPA candidates will also be consideredExperience with UltraTax CS is strongly preferredProficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft OfficeStrong tax research, analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work independently, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlinesHigh level of professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detailWhat We OfferPaid time off and paid holidaysProfessional and supportive work environmentOpportunities for advancement and continued professional developmentYear-round position with overtime opportunities during tax season
