Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Manage sales and use tax compliance activities, including transaction uploads, reconciliations, return preparation, filings, payments, and exemption certificate management. Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and third-party tax providers, ensuring accurate tax reporting and resolution of tax-related issues. Perform monthly tax account reconciliations, analyze discrepancies between systems, and maintain accurate tax records and reporting schedules. Prepare, file, and coordinate payment of property tax returns and assessments, including related accrual reconciliations and expense allocations. Support income, corporate, gross receipts, and other tax reporting requirements by preparing calculations, schedules, workpapers, and related documentation. Partner with auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders to support audits, respond to tax notices, maintain registrations and business licenses, and ensure ongoing compliance. Drive tax process improvements, manage tax calendars and help desk inquiries, provide tax guidance to employees and customers, and assist with special projects and additional tax-related responsibilities as needed.
RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS
Highschool diploma or GED, required Bachelor s
Degree:
Accounting specialization, required Minimum 2-4 years of Tax Accounting experience Knowledge of sales and use tax compliance, exemption certificate management, and corporate tax reporting. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, general ledger systems, and reconciliation processes. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and attention to detail.
