Job Description

A growing full services public accounting and advisory firm providing tax, accounting, and consulting services to individuals and businesses. We are seeking a professional and organized Accountant to support daily office operations and provide excellent client service. Position Summary This position requires accounting and tax knowledge, attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to manage multiple client assignments and deadlines. This position will be responsible for Preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses Prepare other tax filings as assigned Preparing and reviewing general ledger activity, including preparing adjusting journal entries, bank reconciliations, and period end or year end adjustments as necessary Perform bookkeeping and accounting assignments when required Other related tasks as assigned The successful candidate should communicate professionally with all clients, maintain organized records, be able to explain routine tax and accounting matters to client in a clear and professional manner, be able to meet established deadlines, and take ownership of assigned engagements. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals and federal income taxation Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines Ability to work independently while recognizing when consultaiton is necessary Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong communication and customer service skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Paid time off and holidays Health insurance and retirement plan options
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
