full-time Senior Accountant ???? Las Vegas, NV | 100% Onsite We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing property management accounting team in Las Vegas, NV. This is a hands-on senior-level role for someone who enjoys both preparing financials and reviewing the work of others, while helping develop staff and maintain consistency across a multi-property portfolio. What You'll Do Financial Reporting & Month-End Close Prepare and review monthly financial statements for multiple properties/entities. Review financials prepared by Staff Accountants to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency. Manage journal entries, account reconciliations, adjusting entries, and other month-end close activities. Support consolidated financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies. Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and identify discrepancies or unusual activity. Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and other financial planning initiatives. Team Leadership & Development Provide day-to-day guidance, training, and support to Staff Accountants. Review team members' work and provide meaningful feedback to improve accuracy and consistency. Help establish and maintain standardized accounting processes across the portfolio. Partner with accounting leadership and other departments to ensure financial reporting deadlines are met. Support continuous process improvement initiatives within the accounting department. Cash Management & Financial Analysis Review property cash positions and monitor liquidity. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Assist with cash flow forecasting and provide insights to management. Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making. Audit, Compliance & Controls Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests. Ensure compliance with GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal controls. Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures. Support tax reporting and compliance activities as needed. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including Senior Accountant-level responsibilities. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience with intercompany transactions, consolidations, and multiple entities/properties . Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with property accounting systems such as RealPage, Yardi, AppFolio, Sage Fixed Assets, or similar platforms . Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Experience training, mentoring, or reviewing the work of accounting staff. Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with both accounting and operational teams.
